Stonington House Fire
Stonington, CT – On the afternoon of March 24, 2007 firefighters from the Old Mystic and Wequetequock Fire Department responded to Pequot Trail for a report of a house fire. First arriving units from Old Mystic transmitted a first alarm for fire throughout a one and a half story wood frame. An aggressive interior attack was called off due to instability of the second floor and a numerous mutual aid tanks were called because of water supply issues. The fire was controlled in over two hours.
During overhaul of the building there was a partial collapse which trapped one firefighter. Rescue crews shored the collapse area and extricated the trapped firefighter who was transported with non life threatening injuries.

Bridgeport 445 Connecticut Avenue
Just after midnight on March 7, 2007 Bridgeport firefighters were called to fight a blaze at 445 Connecticut Avenue. On arrival units found heavy fire on the second floor of a two and a half story wood frame with extension to the neighboring building on the exposure 4 side. Firefighters used master streams to douse the main building involved while aggressively attacking the fire that spread to the second floor and attic of the exposure. The fire was contained to the involved building and the second floor and attic of the exposure 4 building.

Niantic 2nd Alarm
Niantic, CT – Firefighters from East Lyme and Waterford were called to fight a fire in Niantic section of East Lyme early Monday morning March 5, 2007. A newspaper deliverer noticed the fire and called 911 reporting someone out the window. Arriving companies found a working fire and a homeowner trapped on the roof over the front porch. The fire quickly spread throughout the structure and adjacent house with burning embers falling throughout the neighborhood. Waterford firefighters were called to check surrounding homes for fire from the embers then put to work assisting firefighters from Niantic and Flanders. Mohegan Tribal Fire Department FAST team, additional Waterford Firefighters covering the empty East Lyme stations and Lawrence and Memorial Hospital Paramedics also provided assistance.

East Lyme House Fire 2/25/07
The Niantic and Flanders Fire Departments responded to Clark Street for a report of fire in a private dwelling. First arriving units from Niantic Fire found heavy fire in the first floor breezeway of a two and a half story wood frame between the house and garage with extension to both. Searches were negative and the fire was brought under control in about an hour. The Mohegan Tribal Fire Department FAST team and East Lyme Fire Marshals Office also responded the fire. The cause of the blasé is under investigation.
Waterford Chimney Fire 2/23/07
Oswegatchie and Jordan responding to a chimney on Konomac Ave. Units found activing fire in the chimney with no extension to the house. Extinguishment was difficult due the construction of the chimney and extremly heavy buildup in the chimney. I was working on the roof with PJ so i got this picture as i was taking up.

1/14/07 New London 2nd Alarm
Battalion 3 transmitted a second alarm for 203 Broad Street for fire in a occupied multiple dwelling. An extra truck from Waterford was special called as were other Waterford units to cover New London's stations. Sub Base Fire Department operated as the FAST team.
Obviously BC 3 Knew which truck company to call from Waterford... The Only one

Waterford MVA 11/23/06
At 0118 Hours Thanksgiving Day Waterford Fire Engine Co. 1 responed to a report of vehicle into a pole with injuries in the area of Rt. 156 and Gardners Wood Road. First arriving units found a pickup truck that struck a utility pole. The pole was snapped about 10 feet off the ground with the top portion leaning almost horizontal. The driver of the truck wasnt injured, refused medical treat and was placed under arrest for drunk driving.
